Quebec Remparts hope to host the Anniversary Cup in 2022 and have no plans to appear in an additional role. In the coming weeks, Patrick Roy will announce several important deals, including that of striker Zachary Bolduc, from Océanic de Rimouski.

Advanced probability and the first round in the upcoming NHL Draft had fueled the rumor machine over the past holiday season. Roy confirmed that he had held discussions with his counterpart, Serge Beausoleil, without finding common ground.

It now appears that this has been done and Bolduc will be moving to Remparts in a deal that will be struck in two phases. The first part of the trade will be confirmed during the next QMJHL Draft, but the crossing from Bolduc to Quebec will only take place before the start of the next season. Oceanic wants Bolduc to remain a member of the organization until he is drafted into the NHL.

In total, the Red Devils will pay three first-round picks plus another second-round pick to get Bolduc.

Creator and farmer

Patrick Roy had also questioned the composition of the 20-year-old trio during his assessment of the end of the season. In the draft, the picture will become clearer as Remparts will announce the acquisition of striker Christoph Farmer and giant defender Louis Crever, two players who will occupy the 20-year-old’s bench next season.

In Farmer’s case, he would come to complete the deal that sent Beric Dube to Chicoutimi during the last period of the exchanges. As for Crevier, he’ll move to Remparts for two draft picks and hopeful Félix Bédard, a 10 pick.^e Toured in 2019 and home to Laterrière, Saguenay.

The Remparts will complement their trio of veteran players by acquiring a goalkeeper whose identity will be confirmed later, as the youngster in question has not been informed of the swap.

This appears to mean that Gabriel Montreuil and Olivier Pouliot will not be part of the team’s plans for next season.

ROY ACCESS, CORMIER part

Finally, the Red Devils will add another striker, Pier-Olivier Roy, from the Gatineau Olympiques, while Cole Cormier will do the opposite.

Roy was a selection for the first round of the 2019 Olympics. After a season of 34 points in 48 matches, at 17, in 2019-2020, he disappointed offensively last season, scoring only one goal in 31 teams and adding 13 assists.
