In an interview with Midi Olympics, William Servet looked forward to touring South America this summer. He and staff want to take inspiration from the success of the 2021 Summer Games in Australia.
Although he only won one match in the end, the summer tour of Australia in 2021 was a sporting success for the French XV. This allowed us to (re)discover players who later settled into the starting lineup. “Boys like Anthony Zelonch or Kayden Barlott, apart from a few, have exposed themselves to the group and themselves.“William Servet, the French XV's forwards coach, recalled in an interview with Midi Olympics.
The former Toulouse player then looked ahead to the upcoming tour and therefore wants to draw inspiration from what was done in 2021.As I said, the idea would be to take inspiration from what we've been able to do in Australia. With health restrictions removed, we're gearing up to experience more or less the same thing as it involves playing three Tests in seven days. A new Anthony Zelonch may be in store for us on this tour to the other side of the world.
