German actor Christian Oliver dies in a plane crash

Local authorities announced that German actor Christian Oliver, known for his roles in the films “Speed ​​Racer” and “Saved by the Bell,” died along with his two daughters in a private plane crash in the Caribbean.

The police explained on social media that the small machine crashed, on Thursday, into the ocean “a few moments after take-off,” near the island of Little Nevis, in the archipelago of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

“There were three passengers on board, namely: Mr. Christian Klebser (actor's real name, editor's note) (…) and his two daughters,” explains the press release.

The police said that Coast Guard members “extracted their bodies from the plane, and then the coroner announced them.” An autopsy is being conducted and an investigation has been opened.

The plane had left Bequia Island at midday and was supposed to head to St. Lucia Island, according to police.

Christian Oliver was 51 years old and directed many films and series in Germany and Hollywood.

He most notably played in the German series “Cobra Alert,” and had supporting roles in major American productions such as “Speed ​​​​​Racer” and “Indiana Jones and the Clock of Destiny.”
