Ten defrauded colleagues decided to take legal action to recover their share of the jackpot.

Then he would have continued to play, still using the series of numbers he had decided on with his peers.

On November 12, the individual finally won a huge jackpot of 1.5 million Australian dollars (about 960,000 euros), but decided not to inform his colleagues. According to the complaint filed by the latter, he took advantage of the fact that he was the one who bought the winning ticket and cashed the jackpot “in his name only”.

After discovering that their gaming partner had outbid them, the ten concerned employees sued, arguing that “there is a mutual agreement that any prize won on tickets purchased on behalf of the group will be shared by the members.” Document submitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
