You are used to washing your sheets and pillows, but do you know how often you have to clean your mattress? Experts share their recommendations, as well as tips for washing them properly.
Doing a good deep cleaning at least twice a year would be the norm, Kora Habinaková, a sleep expert with UK sleepseeker, told The Mirror. Ideally, some lighter cleaning is recommended throughout the year.
Not only will these medicines prevent odors, but they will also keep them at bay. The mattress could be more durable.
“You can easily take the time to wash the mattress when the sheets are in the washer or dryer,” Habinakova added.
Cleaning the mattress and picking up dust and crumbs in hard-to-reach places are some of the tasks that need to be done. In the event of stains or spills, a mixture of mild soap and water is sufficient to clean them up.
But Kora Habenakova explains that “the ideal solution is to clean the stains as soon as they appear.”
Finally, the expert suggests starting cleaning in the morning. Thus, the mattress will certainly dry out by the time you go to sleep.
