Héroux-Devtek has won a major contract to develop landing gear for its next generation defense aircraft.
Longueuil, located on the south coast of Montreal, announced Thursday that it has been awarded a contract by Lockheed Martin.
“Acquiring this important contract will help strengthen our business relationship with this important client, as well as expose us to new business opportunities,” said Martin Brassard, President and CEO of Héroux-Devtek.
The new contract will focus on the development of a new generation of landing gear.
Héroux-Devtek is an international company specializing in the design, development, manufacture, repair, maintenance and repair of landing gear and hydraulic and electromechanical actuators.
She has collaborated with Lockheed Martin since the 1990s. Héroux-Devtek specifically undertook the maintenance of the landing gear for the P-3 Marine Patrol aircraft, manufactured the landing gear for the C-130 freighter and designed and manufactured the CH-53K landing gear as well as the aircraft door locking system for the F-35 multirole aircraft.
