It’s been a few months since Marc-Andre Fleury left for Chicago, but his former Golden Knights teammate Jonathan Marchesault is still emotional when he talks about it.
In an interview with “JiC,” the former Quebec Remparts didn’t hesitate to praise his leggings-wearing “soulmate.”
“His passing was really difficult. Marc Andre was one of my best friends on the team. We were together in Vegas from the start. On the ice, he gave us a chance to win every night. I wish him all the best in Chicago, but I’m not worried about him in the future. He’s a future member of the Hall of Fame with three Stanley Cups.
Excited to acquire Eichel
Marchessault was also invited to comment on the recent acquisition of Jack Eichel by the “Knights”.
Unsurprisingly, he was very excited about the news.
“We are fortunate to have him with us. He is a franchise player who can change the game on his own. We can’t wait to see him on the ice in our military uniform. He is one of the best positions in the NHL.”
