Imtech acquires Spie UK, one of the leading players in engineering services and decarbonisation solutions in the healthcare and industrial sector. The operation will complement Imtech’s existing offering with a range of specialized services in industrial equipment, clean rooms and safety systems, subject to regulatory approvals.
Imtech, jointly owned by Dalgia and ETF Energy, operates in the United Kingdom in four areas of expertise: electrical and HVAC engineering, multi-technical maintenance, energy services and control systems. The recent acquisition of Spie UK, which is expected to generate revenues of £200 million by 2021, is part of a growing strategy around installation work in its core markets of electrical and HVAC engineering, multi-technical maintenance and energy services. It will also help increase its long-term revenue share in its business segment.
Furthermore, this operation responds to Dalgia’s “Cap 2026” strategy, which aims to become one of the leaders in its sector in the United Kingdom. Part of EDF’s commitment is to support public and private customers in the energy transition to combat climate change.
