The Ottawa Senators are reportedly actively trying to trade Quebec player Mathieu Joseph ahead of the National Hockey League (NHL) draft.

This is not the first time the Chambly striker's name has appeared in deal rumours. His name was also bandied about a lot in the late summer of 2023 as the Senators tried to stay within the salary cap.
Joseph has two years left on his current contract that earns him an average of $2.95 million per season.
Last campaign, the 6'1″, 190-pound skater collected 35 points, including 11 goals, in 72 games.

However, according to Garioch, the Senators have a very specific shopping list for the summer period.
First, the team wants to improve between the posts and on the blue line. It has already targeted Dallas Stars defenseman Chris Tanev to bolster the defense.
However, another defender may be on his way out. That's Jakob Chychrun, whose $4.6 million-a-year contract expires at the end of next season.
