Jacob Fowler has a new mask that pays tribute to Patrick Roy.

Jacob Fowler is the best goalkeeper in CH.

He just dominated the NCAA in his first college season, and he's a calm presence in front of the net.

We are also talking about a young man who is very confident about life in general.

Fowler, who is in Brossard this week on the sidelines of the Canadiens' development camp, received a new mask… and let's just say he'll be making friends in Montreal.

Why?

Because he pays tribute to Patrick Roy with his helmet.

This is an exact (almost identical) replica of the mask Roy was wearing at the time, when he was playing for the Montreal Canadiens:

When we look at the result, we see that the two masks (Roy's and Fowler's) are very similar.

The idea is excellent:

Actually, I love the details in terms of colors and the concept that can be found on the mask.

It's honestly amazing.

Fowler knows Patrick Roy is a legend in Montreal for what he accomplished with CH, and he wanted to remind fans of that with his new mask.

I imagine Patrick Roy will have a smile on his face when he sees the mask being created… and I imagine Patrick Roy can't wait to see Jacob Fowler shake his hand.

After all, if Patrick Roy stays in New York long enough as the Islanders' head coach, he should have the opportunity to meet the young Canadian goalie in the coming years.

At the very least it would be cool to see Fowler and Roy talk about the mask together.
