L’Oréal and Emmaüs Solidarité have jointly opened in the 10th arrondissement of Paris a new solidarity space dedicated to beauty and well-being aimed at people in precarious situations. Located on the ground floor of a shelter run by Emmaüs Solidarité, this place is aimed at all people supported by social actors.
Inside, care, hygiene and beauty products, such as shampoo, shower gel or perfume, are made available to women and men through a voucher system. The care space is run by a pair of Emmaus staff and volunteers at L’Oréal France.
“These therapies are absolutely essential because they promote the process of reintegration by restoring your image and self-esteem. Reclaiming your body and image, learning to take care of yourself, and boosting self-confidence are the goals of ‘well-being and self’ – ‘workshops'”, notes Bruno Morell, Emmaüs Managing Director Solidarité
In addition to donating hygiene and beauty products, this place aims to (re) promote self-esteem and re-socialize but also to develop and restore connections through group workshops.
