For his first steps on the big screen in the movie love again (love again), Celine Dion’s earnest work was noticed and praised by director James C. Strauss. “Celine arrived on set incredibly prepared,” he said. She knew his lines so well, she could have said them upside down.

Lu immediately thought of her when writing the screenplay for the German romantic comedy Dich SMS — itself an adaptation of Sofie Cramer’s eponymous novel — “Because Céline works for Columbia Records, a Sony subsidiary, and since the movie is made by Screen Gems, another Sony subsidiary, I said to myself there was a chance it would work.”
Celine “The Real Fake”
Before writing the dialogues for the Quebec singer, the director wanted to do his homework. “I watched as much of her videos as I could, and listened to hours of interviews in order to get a feel for her expressions and her way of expressing herself and saying things,” he said.
The result is a role “full of humor and faithful to Celine since she talks about her life, Renee and her children”. Because, during scenes full of tongue-in-cheek and “meta” humor, Celine Dion transforms into a kind of fairy-tale godmother by encouraging Rob Burns (Sam Heughan) to fall in love and dare hookup with Mira Rai (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) .
In fact, Myra lost her husband and continues to send text messages to her phone in order to communicate. However, the number is given to Rob, a music journalist, who is soon deeply affected by the letters. At the same time, for his work, Rob has to meet Celine Dion. But instead of asking her career questions, he’s asking her love advice…which she’ll do with good grace!
Filming took place in London in October 2020 and early 2021, in the midst of a pandemic, before moving to the United States. Also in Uncle Sam’s Land, Celine Dion “spent four days filming her scenes,” with Sam Heughan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
