On November 25, the forest rangers of the region were surprised to find an abandoned car on the outskirts of the forest. Investigators then decided to locate her with camp equipment, information about their owner and a drone. But it finally crashed into the jungle.
As they set out to retrieve it, Utah Sheriff’s Office officials met face-to-face with this woman who had been missing for months and had voluntarily settled in the wilderness. He lived in a tent and has been feeding on grass and moss since November 2020.
According to officials, he has lost a lot of weight and is clearly weak, but appears to be otherwise “prosperous”. She was taken to the hospital for a mental assessment, but her new lifestyle is not illegal and she will have to return to live in the jungle if she so desires.
