Lane Hutson had two assists to extend his point streak to seven points, and the Boston University Terriers beat the Quinnipiac University Bobcats 3-2 on Wednesday night.
During his streak of games with at least one point, the Montreal Canadiens prospect has collected 11 points.
Hutson now has 8 goals and 8 assists for a total of 16 points in 12 games this season. Hutson is averaging 1.33 points per game this season, second best in the NCAA for a defenseman behind Seamus Casey (1.40).
Hutson started the evening’s work midway through the third period, with the Terriers trailing by two goals. Hutson faked the shot from the top of the circles, before sending a wonderful pass to Jeremy Wilmer, who reduced the deficit to 2-1.
Then in the final two minutes of the third period, with the score tied at 2-2, Hutson took advantage of a power play to brilliantly control the ball in enemy territory and give it to Ryan Green. The latter scored the winning goal, his second goal in the match, after equalizing the score moments earlier.
The Terriers are having a good time lately with five straight wins.
