There are now two players with 100 points in the NHL and both belong to the Edmonton Oilers.
Leon Drysitl was a partner in Brett Kollak’s first goal with the Oilers and reached the 100-point plateau in a season for the third time in his career. Draisaitl starred in a convincing 6-1 victory for the Oilers over the Ducks.
In the third inning, Drystel attempted a pass in front of the net and it ended up near the slope. Cody Cisse picked up the disc before handing it to Kulak, who fired a shot. This goal made Edmonton 5-1 in the third inning.
Minutes later, Draisaitl scored his 50th goal of the season, a feat he has reached for the second time in his career. He also scored 50 goals in 2018-2019.
He left one counter from the bottom of the circle that beat John Gibson.
Draisaitl is the third active NHL player with at least two seasons of 50 goals. He joins Alex Ovechkin and Steven Stamkos.
Conor McDavid also played a strong three-point match. He hit the goal for the fortieth time this season in the first period. He reached the plateau for the third time in his career. He sits as the top scorer in the Pittman circuit with 105 points. Draisaitl is his closest follower with 101 points.
Tyson Barry, Ryan Nugent Hopkins and Jesse Poliujarvi scored the other three Oilers goals.
In addition to his goal, Kulak made assists on goals from Nugent Hopkins and Drysattle. He finished the match with a difference of +5, the best in his team.
Barry added assists to his goal to end the match with three points.
Zach Aston Reese hit the duck goal.
In the loss, Gibson managed to save 40 times in 46 shots.
At the net for the Oilers, Mike Smith had a good night with 31 saves.
A second season with 50 goals for Leon Drysitl!
