Pittsburgh Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said striker Zach Aston Reese has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
So he will follow NHL health protocol before returning to the team’s entourage.
The 27-year-old Aston Race will play Season 5 with the Pittsburgh Penguins. In the last season, he scored 15 points, including nine goals, in 45 matches. He also scored points in six matches during the playoffs.
Kevin Lankinen leaves the COVID-19 protocol
Chicago Blackhawks goalkeeper Kevin Lankinen trained Monday after his name was removed from ice hockey’s COVID-19 protocol.
Lankinen has been on the sidelines since last Friday. His absence does not necessarily mean that he has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
Hawks general manager Stan Bowman said last week that the team is 100% vaccinated against the coronavirus.
Lankinen, 26, was 17-14-5 with a 3.01 goal-for-average and a 90.9% save rate in last year’s junior season. Marc-Andre Fleuri’s must be assistant this season.
