Kevin Bieksa had a lot to say about Nick Cousins on Saturday night.
The former defender, is now an analyst on the programme Hockey night in canadacalled Cousins a “rat” in an on-air tirade during a break on Sportsnet.
Bieksa criticized him for deliberately endangering the health of his opponents.
“People don't want to see knee-to-knee hits, players hitting the board or getting hit in the back. But it's a recurring theme for Cousins.”
“I've never done this before, but I have to, because it's a strong tendency of this player. I'm sorry, but to me he's just a mouse,” Bieksa added.
The latter wants someone to solve Cousins' case because he always runs away instead of answering for his actions, thus breaking the famous “code”, in his opinion.
“There's no room for that kind of move. What does everything he does have in common? And he's at the bottom of the pile in turtle mode. Someone in the organization has to sit down with him and say, 'That's enough!' Otherwise the NHL needs to step in.” Someone from player safety has to stop these dirty shots because I hate them.
