Quebec residents are invited to renew their health insurance card by filling out a form which they will receive by mail. There is no need to attach an image, RAMQ will use the image already in the file.
This is a temporary measure intended to prevent citizens from going to a SAAQ service point.

For several weeks, Crown’s offices have been packed due to the difficulty of migrating services to the SAAQclic digital platform.
People whose health insurance card has expired for more than 6 months should contact RAMQ to obtain a new card. If it has been less than 6 months since the expiration date of the card, simply use the renewal notice received by mail.
If this notice is missing, it can be requested online at the RAMQ website.
