(Montreal) The French Minister of Sports and Olympics “hopes with all her heart” that Celine Dion will be present at the opening ceremony in Paris, in just over a month.
He was interviewed on Wednesday on the show Telematine On France 2, Minister Amelie O'Dea Castera did not rule out the Quebec singer's attendance at the July 26 concert. But she explained that “there is a president, who is Thomas Joly, the artistic director of the celebrations.”

“Ha, I’ve come all this way, this is my first time walking in high heels, and then I’m going to Paris? Maybe we’ll wait a little bit,” she said, before adding, “That’s beautiful, you’re taking me to Paris and then I have dreams.”
The French minister responsible for the Paris Olympics admitted on Wednesday that Celine Dion's attendance at the opening ceremony was “within the realm of possibility.”
“And I will tell you: I hope so with all my heart. It is a hypothesis.”
The opening ceremony should take place along the Seine. The details of this concert, which will be watched by hundreds of millions of people around the world, are strictly confidential.
