Paris game | Coco Gaff will represent the United States

Coco Gaff will represent the United States at the Paris Olympic tennis tournament, three years after missing the Tokyo Games due to COVID-19.

The 20-year-old, the world's number two athlete, will join Jessica Pegula, Danielle Collins and Emma Navarro in France in the women's singles, as well as Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, Chris Eubanks and Marcos Krone on the men's side.

The tennis tournament begins on July 27 at the French Open venue Roland-Carros.

The US team will consist of six athletes who will be making their first experience at the Games.

Goff is the reigning U.S. Open champion and has reached the semifinals of the first two majors this season. He reached the final on Parisian clay in 2022.

Having previously won the French Open in June alongside Katerina Siniakova, Goff is aiming for a doubles medal. He won all five matches with Pegula.

Gough tested positive for Covid-19 just days before the start of the tournament in Tokyo in July 2021.

Pegula returned to action last week after missing the French Open with a neck injury in April.
