Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM) service was interrupted for an indefinite period on Saturday evening due to the detection of smoke.
REM made the announcement on X, Saturday, just before 9 p.m.
He stated that “the intervention of emergency services causes an interruption of service in both directions.”
Shuttles (buses) are provided for travelers.
According to the company, smoke was discovered near the Ile de Sures station at around 8:30 pm on Saturday.
We explained to QMI: “As a security measure, we preferred to suspend the operation to ensure that everything is safe.”
A date for returning to normal has not yet been determined.
“Teams are deployed to analyze the causes. We will provide more information as soon as possible. “Until then, a succession plan has been put in place to ensure user travel,” we added.
