The Quebec government’s participation and commitment in the discussion forum on remote work is far from meeting employee expectations.
This is the remark made by the Union of Professionals and Professionals of the Government of Quebec (SPGQ), after six meetings in which he has participated since January 2022, and faltering in passive listening, he denounced.
Guillaume Beaufret, third vice president of SPGQ, said, referring to the findings now from “concrete.”
After the union threatened to close the forum door, the union, which does not hide its dissatisfaction, is asking Quebec to identify some problems related to remote work and develop negotiated solutions.
“Whatever the outcome of the Forum, SPGQ will advocate for the cause of remote work, especially as an intense period of negotiations is in place with a view to renewing several collective agreements, including those for the Public Service, Revenue Quebec, and the cultural sector,” added Mr. Beaufret.
