Retailer RONA on Monday announced the appointment of JP Towner as president and CEO.
Mr. Towner joined RONA in October 2023 as Chief Financial Officer. He has already worked at Dollarama and Pomerleau as CFO.
Mr. Towner, a Quebecois native whose native language is French, succeeds Andrew Iacobucci. The latter took control of the company in the residential renovation sector in June last year, after announcing a restructuring that then led to the layoffs of 500 employees at the retailer.

Rona indicated on Monday that Mr. Iacobucci was no longer part of the organization, without providing details about his departure.
Before arriving at the Quebec retailer, Mr. Iacobucci was Executive Vice President and Head of Commercial Services for US Foods, a food distribution company in the United States.
The company, headquartered in Boucherville, Montérégie, has a network of 425 corporate and affiliate stores under the RONA+, RONA, Réno-Dépôt and Dick's Lumber brands.
