Ubisoft has made it clear that Assassin’s Creed is its favorite franchise these days. We already know Assassin’s Creed Mirage is coming in October before Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade, Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, and Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR are on the horizon. We will even return to the beloved place if all goes as planned.
Because Ethan Gatch by Kotaku I’ve heard from two sources that Ubisoft is working on a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. It’s the one with Edward Kenway and a lot of combat and naval exploration if you don’t remember. I can confirm this to an extent, but my sources tell me the project is at such an early stage that they haven’t decided yet if it will be a direct remake or just “very inspired” by Black Flag.
It’s important to note before celebrating out loud that Ubisoft Singapore, the same studio making Skull and Bones these days, should be one of the main studios to do so. Sure, that’s all right given how early development his next game is since many love the nautical aspect of Black Flag, but the making of Skull and Bones wasn’t all that good. Either way, the new Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag is still years away from seeing the light of day, so why not share your thoughts on what needs to be changed, improved, and not touched by us and Ubisoft.
