From July 2nd to August 25thThe audience will be able to enjoy the classics of the genre on the big screen: from Stanley Kubrick to Ridley Scottpassing by Kathryn Bigelow, Denis Villeneuve, Andrei TarkovskyAnd Alan Rene It's excellent! 12 monkeys to Terry Gilliam Which will open the ball, almost 30 years after its theatrical release, and is preceded by the short film Sidewalk By Chris Marker.
The programme will remind moviegoers of how cinema has, since its beginnings, shaped the imagination of the future. Science fiction transports us into a space-time that cinema makes clear. The creation of worlds and the invention of technologies with the help of special effects and complex scenography make cinema more exciting, immersive and imaginative. But science fiction in cinema can also be a distorted mirror of our ever-changing reality. Through the invention of parallel worlds, new behaviours and new relationships with others (or aliens) also arise. A new environmental awareness is emerging just as much in interstellar travel.
