The Bureau of the National Academy of Medicine joins, on Friday, July 5, 2024, the press release of the Academy of Sciences, published on July 3 (read on AEF information), which “confirms the complete lack of credibility of the programmatic statements of the National Assembly on scientific and medical topics and the abandonment of the human values on which the profession is based.” This press release also affirms that “knowledge can only advance in an open world without scientific borders” and that “it is essential to remember that self-enclosure cannot provide a solution.” The Bureau of the National Academy of Medicine, which “guides and directs the institution,” is composed of Catherine Barthélemy (President); Christian Boitard (Permanent Secretary); Jean-Noël Wissinger (Vice President); Jacques Belghetti (Assistant Secretary); and Yvonne Lebrancheau (Treasurer).
