The Montreal Canadiens have a bunch of quality prospects in their organizational chart.
Many of them this season were marked by very good performances in their championships.
One of those is undoubtedly polarizing defenseman Logan Mailo.
In fact, since returning to the OHL after completing his rehab in Montreal, the 19-year-old has been on fire.
Despite missing five matches for his club this season, Mailou is the fifth highest scorer for his club, the London Knights.
He has 13 points (six goals and seven assists) in 12 games this season.
Moreover, Mailou is currently on a streak of seven consecutive matches with at least one point.
He kept that streak alive last night by scoring his sixth goal of the season on a volley in the Knights’ 6-4 loss to the Flint Firebirds.
This is his goal.

Once again, it was the power play that made Milo feel his presence. Of the six goals he scored this season, four of them have been starring.
It really makes Mailloux more and more specialized.
We also note that Mailloux is used in various places in the power play. He moves a lot and so is really the focus of the five-man London Knights attack.
Sometimes Mailou is on point in order to control the play, he is sometimes used on the left side at the top of the face circle so he uses an excellent slap shot, and finally, as we can see with his sixth goal of the season, he is sometimes used on the right side so he uses Excellent wrist shot.
In short, Mallo is really versatile in his attacking game.
It’s good to see the 19-year-old defender perform like this season, having only played 12 games last season due to a shoulder injury.
He had three goals and six assists for a total of nine points in 12 games.
This season, as I mentioned earlier, in 12 games, there have been six goals and seven assists, or 13 points for Milo.
It is clear that if No. 24 of the London Knights continues like this he will present himself at the next camp in CH with a view to making the team.
Being a right-handed defenceman, he would obviously have a good opportunity, given that the defenseman’s congestion on the Habs roster is on the left flank.
Mailloux will likely make the jump to the pros next season if all goes well.
We’re still a long way from there, but Milo is still really excelling in the OHL at the moment.
The only small problem with his game is sometimes his defensive game which is less impressive than his offensive game.
