American actor Joe Laura, best known for appearing in the American television series Tarzan: The Epic Adventures, was killed in a plane crash in the state of Tennessee with six others over the weekend.
Their plane, the Cessna C501, sank in Percy Priest Lake near the city of Smyrna and took off from Smyrna Rutherford Country Airport near Nashville at 11 a.m. Saturday, local media reported.
Among the victims was the actor’s wife, writer and food expert Gwen Champlin Laura.
The National Transportation Safety Board said no passengers had escaped and an investigation was underway to determine the cause of the crash.
Laura has starred in action films such as Sunset Heat, American Cyborg: Steel Warrior, Final Equinox and Doomstayer, and TV series such as Baywatch and Conan.
