What Canadian Bianca Andreescu feared was confirmed on Wednesday, as she suffers from a serious injury to her left ankle.
The tennis player announced that she was suffering from a torn ligament in her joint. However, she shows a positive attitude towards her condition.

“It’s hard to say how long it will take [pour guérir]But let’s just say it could have been a lot worse! I will take it day by day. I’m sure I can get back on the field quickly with rehab work and preparation. The process has already begun and I will continue to update you. “I love you all,” Andreescu wrote on social networks.
The Ontario ended up in the hospital after failing to complete a deal with rival Russia’s Ekaterina Alexandrova on Monday when she trailed 7-6 (0), 0-2. After leaving the Miami championship field in tears, she shared a photo of herself wearing a brace on social media.
“It’s the worst pain I’ve ever had in my life. I pray it’s not serious. Still waiting for the official results,” she wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.

This is not the first time Andreescu has faced an ordeal related to his health. The 2019 champion has missed several tournaments over the past three years due to various injuries.
