On Saturday, May 21st, about twenty volunteers gather to do the spring planting, which now decorates the village streets with pretty flower arrangements.
The volunteers, who range in age from 5 to 80, have spared no effort to beautify the village streets, if necessary. The gardening is done, and they find themselves in the square near Baden, near the bread-oven of the old house which had burnt down there. Arms laden with savory and sweet preparations, they put them in this bread oven which had not been heated for years, but perfectly cooked all the pies and pizzas, all washed down with the friendship pot which the commune had given. An appetizing break also marked the beginning of a phase of rehabilitation work on the village square, which will now be called Espace Pierre-Flocard, in honor of this generous benefactor, who wanted this square to return to the city. In a few months, a children’s play area will be created, but also a pétanque field, a bowling alley and an orchard. A new communal living space that will undoubtedly be very popular with residents.
