United States – George Foreman was sexually assaulted

Former US heavyweight boxing champion George Foreman was sexually assaulted by two then-teenagers in the 1970s, according to lawsuits filed in Los Angeles.

According to lawsuits obtained in recent days by People magazine and popular website TMZ, Denise S. and filed by women identified as Gwen H.

Foreman, 73, was not identified by name but was referred to as a former professional boxer who defeated Joe Frazier in 1973 and became the heavyweight champion, as Foreman did.

Denise S. She said she met Foreman when she was eight years old and that he raped her multiple times in 1976 at a hotel in San Francisco, with the attacks occurring when she was 13-16 and Foreman was 24.

Gwen H. said she was 15 when Foreman began assaulting her. He claimed that his father had been hired by the foreman and that the boxer threatened to fire his father if he did not cooperate.

The women have demanded a jury trial, alleging that they have suffered physical and psychological harm.

He “absolutely” refuses

Foreman denied the allegations in a statement to the New York Times. “In the last six months, two women tried to extort millions of dollars each from me and my family,” he said. “They falsely claim that I sexually abused them 45 years ago in the 1970s. I categorically deny these allegations,” he said.

Foreman was the Olympic heavyweight boxing champion in 1968 and then defeated Frazier to become the professional heavyweight champion in 1973. He held the title until losing to Muhammad Ali in the famous ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ fight in Zaire in 1974.

In 1994, at the age of 45, Foreman regained the heavyweight throne after defeating Michael Moorer, becoming the oldest boxer to win the heavyweight title at the time. Foreman ended his career in 1997 at the age of 48 with a loss to Shannon Briggs, giving him a record of 76 wins, including 68 KOs and 5 losses.
