It’s just an hour-long community council that brought together, on Thursday, elected officials from the Concarneau Cornwell Caucus (CCA). Among the highlights, is the name (with double French/Bretton signage) for the new media libraries in Tourc’h and Elliant. The CCA is bound by the Y a d’Ar Brezoneg charter, the cultural equipment of the first municipality will take the name “Médiathèque Mouez ar galon / mediaoueg Mouez ar galon” and the Elliant name “Médiathèque Bro Melenig / mediaoueg Bro Melenig”. “The public was not directly involved, but we contacted the Breton language office and people from Brittany in our town,” said Michel Cotten, Mayor of Turke. “This doctrine was voted on upstream in the Municipal Council.”
Suspension of recreation areas in community swimming pools
Another point on the agenda is the suspension, no doubt for a few months, of the project to create a wellness area in the community pools of Concarneau and Rossborden. “We have launched a call for bids, but the prices offered by companies exceed our initial budget by 40%, which is 544,000 euros,” commented Sonia Maric, Vice President of CCA and Vice Mayor of Concarneau. “So we decided to put the project on hold and then relaunch it and get close to our budget budget.” The bathroom, sauna and other modules are planned for these two hydroponic facilities.
