Two young men discovered a long tunnel dating back a hundred years, under their house in the state of Michigan, in the United States, according to what many American media reported. It would have been used in the Prohibition era to smuggle goods.

Hayley and Trevor Gilmartin explained in a video posted on TikTok that they had begun renovating their home. In particular, they wanted to remove the old spa that was inside it.

While removing the hot tub, the couple discovered the sinister room filled with water, located more than 20 feet below the house.

“We will continue to explore it and, if possible, remove the water and perhaps create a recreation room or bowling alley,” Gilmartin told Newsweek.
