The first Latin evening in the history of the summer festival, which the singer of Puerto Rican origin was eagerly awaiting, could not reach the finish line.
It started raining at the end of Becky G’s concert as an opening act.
Soon the rains intensified, and after some lightning and thunder, the organizers of the Summer Festival ordered the site to be evacuated, about 9:20 PM.
The other outdoor stages of FEQ were also evacuated, with Lil Tecca and Gros Mené performing.
So Luis Fonsi suffered the same fate as the Foo Fighters in 2015 and Imagine Dragons in 2019, except he didn’t even have time to sing a single song.
But all is not lost. A few hundred people distinguished by Fonsi’s performance were treated dry, hollow within the Mange army. However, the show has not started at the time of writing.
Becky G: Shiny
It’s a shame because the evening was off to a good start. The true star of Spanish pop and reggaeton, Becky J, from California, with her songs receiving hundreds of millions of listeners, provided one of FEQ’s most sparkling opening acts.
After letting her DJ warm up the crowd for about ten minutes, the 25-year-old artist pulled out all the stops as soon as we saw her appear on the soundtrack. Volanito, the first title in the program. A troupe of energetic dancers, jets of flames and smoke, bright red costumes and exciting rhythms, the spectators immediately realized that they would have few chances to catch their breath.
The only time the singer slowed down, she got down on the floor to perform a song Dolores Shake hands. Some fans could barely contain their emotions when seeing her so close.
Then the concert resumed and Becky G managed to achieve her success Showerfrom sad circumstances, and Mami before the flood hit the plains.
Alex Sensation: Party from Hell
Was it the first part of Luis Fonsi or an extension of the previous day’s electric evening? One thing is for sure, Colombian DJ Alex Sensation, who doesn’t even have a Wikipedia page yet, led a party from Hell early in the evening.
Alternating between house, Latin, and classic rock songs, from LMFAO to Queen via Bad Bunny, Alex Sensation has kept his world on the alert from start to finish by creating an all-encompassing Plains atmosphere. Festival-goers danced near the stage and sang loudly.
As a warm-up, you can hardly ask for more.
