Former Laval Rocket coach Joël Bouchard has analyzed some aspects of improvement in Juraj Slafkovsky’s match if he hopes to break into the Montreal Canadiens roster.

According to the hockey guy, the newer first choice in the Hab should be better at making the decision as well as in his reading of the game.
“He is a young man who thinks a lot,” explained Bouchard, who over the past 15 years has battled many talented talents in various roles within the American Hockey League (AHL) and at the level of the Major League Quebec Junior Hockey League (LHJMQ).
“One thing is for sure, I find him hesitant on the ice. Slafkovsky expects games a lot. He is a young player who needs a period of adaptation.
“I would like him to have a much more direct style of play and good things will come in his case,” concluded Bouchard, author of 364 games at the Pittman Circuit.
