Ariel Soucy
Album There is nothing I am not By Arielle Soucy She's one of the most beautiful things to happen to the music scene in 2023. On Thursday at Sala Rossa, the singer-songwriter performs an additional concert…for her sold-out release last fall. The multi-instrumentalist, who has performed on various stages since then, will be surrounded by a band for this evening that should be as soft as it is luminous. You'll be captivated by Ariel Soucy's musical grace and sensitive pop, that's for sure.

Malian singer Oumou Sangari in concert
We haven't seen Oumou Sangari, a prominent figure in Malian music, in Montreal for more than 10 years. It's the right time to reconnect with her: her latest album, Timbuktu, is pure fun, rich and catchy, disturbing and exciting, rooted in tradition and seduced by electric blues. In short, by adding this artist's repertoire to this music, there's reason to have a good time.

Vakarm boxes
Even if the rise in vinyl prices is almost as surprising as the rise in real estate prices, a traditional record store day remains a valuable opportunity to go and sing to our record stores that it's their turn, to let ourselves talk about “love.” In addition to inviting us to dig through their bins in search of the next collectible item that will compromise our ability to send our offspring to university, many Montreal stores will be turning Saturdays into veritable music festivals. This is the case at Vacarm, on the Place Saint-Hubert, which will host performances from 4pm by Myriam Gendron and Coray, as well as Le Obelique, on the Mont-Royal plateau, which will be rocked by friendly punks. Chu, also from 4 p.m. At 180g, at Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie, several DJs will take turns behind the record players, from noon to 4 p.m., including turntable diplomat, Poirier. Enough to bounce back and be well spent.
