The injury to Sean Monahan is expected to last two weeks, according to the comparator. But as we know, in Montreal, it’s never easy with injuries.
Welcome to the world where foot injuries are high in the thigh area… and the disease turns into an injury in the lower part of the body.
This is all to say that Sean Monahan, who has been the most interesting rental piece of a formation looking for a good midfielder, should not necessarily be replaced.
And if it was, it wouldn’t exactly be against the first choice…
For my part, I lost hope that the Canadian would be able to trade it. I’m not saying it won’t happen, but if it did, I’d take it as a bonus.
And now, Darren Dreger has opened that door.

in the part Insider trading Last night, Draeger reported that teams across the NHL can expect to see the Canadiens file an update on their status early next week.
I will believe it when I see it.
Also, according to the insider, if Monahan is able to return just before or after the trade deadline, teams can inquire about his availability.
In concrete terms, this means that a team can acquire him even if he is not able to play by March 3, three months after his last game in a Canadian uniform. #risk
So he could have already played his last game in Montreal… without his season yet to end? It seems that even if the team is going to protect itself by trading conditional picks, I have my doubts.
Recall that yesterday the Canadian issued a (funny) medical update, but without mentioning Sean Monahan’s name. This is not good news as such.
Unfortunately, there is no update on Sean Monahan’s health status.

Did he suffer another setback? Is the Canadian still hiding information? Is it better? The more it changes, the more it has been the same for years at the Montreal Canadiens.
I can’t wait to get more details on the case as I don’t believe he’s been put out of action since December 5th for trade reasons. Although I wouldn’t be surprised at this point…

interesting. Yesterday’s Bruins-Capitals deal seemed likely to spoil another deal involving Boston’s Vladislav Gavrikov. The Bruins’ top pick in Arizona could have ended in another trade for Jacob Chychrun to CBJ. https://t.co/1gQ7F6ONPz

Quenneville and Stan Bowman are working on a return to the NHL, says Draeger on Insider Trading. Quenneville will call AHL coaches next month to share some of the lessons he’s learned. He has also been working with NHL Executive Vice President Kim Davis for most of the season.
