Clearly, the experts at Doberhockey believe in the offensive potential of the young Hutson, as they have ranked him No. 4.
Brandt Clark (Los Angeles Kings), David Jirisk (Columbus Blue Jackets) and Alexander Nikishin (Carolina Hurricanes) are the only guards ranked higher in the top 50 list. Two other CH players, David Reinbacher and Logan Melo, appear at the bottom of the rankings. In 24th and 37th place, respectively.
Hutson, 20, made his NHL debut in April, playing in the Canadiens' final two games of the season and scoring two goals.
He signed his entry-level contract with the Habs after two seasons of complete dominance on the NCAA circuit with Boston University.
The 5-foot-10 junior was drafted in the second round (62nd overall) by CH in 2022.
