The position we offer you is an excellent way to showcase your writing, interpersonal, animation, and even project management skills.

As part of a small, dynamic, supportive and innovative team, under the supervision of the Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintain links and communications with members/partners to stimulate community life by planning and writing articles/press releases on key communication tools (Facebook, monthly newsletter, blog, quarterly bulletin board);
  • Write content on food safety, healthy eating, food waste issues, etc., to complement external programs and communications.
  • Design, write, produce and distribute documents and support to promote our various activities (posters, advertisements, press releases, leaflets, photographs, etc.);
  • Act as site supervisor or technical and editorial management (additions, updates and content modifications);
  • Conducting surveys and developing performance measures for specific programs in cooperation with the project manager.
  • Respond to general inquiries (email address information and telephone/on-site requests);
  • Assist the Communications Coordinator in all her activities related to the annual communications plan, drafting the annual activity report, preparing self-financing campaigns and organizing the annual general meeting;

Depending on your interests, you will have the opportunity to develop your one-off animation skills with young people, collaborate on writing grant applications and participate in meetings with partners.

The position offered can become a full-time position if you feel you have the skills and interest to do more than just networking such as taking charge of specific projects/programmes offered by CCGP.

Our team is looking for a new employee who will be able to demonstrate that they have:

  • – At least two years of experience related to communications management/writing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or a combination of relevant studies and experience;
  • Proficiency in written French and drafting skills.
  • Sense of organisation, independence and initiative;
  • Creative mind, interpersonal skills and strong teamwork ability.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, working knowledge of English;
  • Good knowledge of the following technology tools: Canva, InDesign, MS Office, Google Suite etc.;
  • CCGPs Assets: Knowledge of community ecology and the collaborative life of a non-profit organization, demonstrate a marked interest in cooking, food security and the impact of climate change on people's well-being, and enjoy connecting with people 7-77 years old!

CCGP offers you competitive and flexible employment conditions:

  • Position 25 hours/week (3-4 days/week) with expanded capabilities;
  • Salary based on your skills, minimum $22 per hour;
